BidVertiser ClickADu HilltopAds, a leading site for ranking local charities, has awarded two Florida’s LGBT charities which received some of the highest customer ratings in 2016.

Equality Florida and CenterLink: The Community of LGBT Centers received the “Top-Rated Charities” award from Great Nonprofits. Both charities were ranked by donors, volunteers and aid recipients and received the highest scores for helping those in need, according to a press release.

“With the Top-Rated Charities list, people can easily see which charities are making a real difference in the communities and issues they serve,” said Perla Ni, GreatNonprofits CEO. “People are inspired and informed by the list, which shares amazing personal stories from the people who know these charities the best. GreatNonprofits empowers people to share their experiences and help others find the best charities — whether they wish to donate, volunteer or know someone trying to find help.”

Of the top 5 rated LGBT nonprofits, CenterLink in Ft. Lauderdale and Equality Florida in St. Petersburg received third and fourth place, respectively.

Free2Luv in Seattle, Washington was the highest ranked LGBT charity, and LGBT Center of Raleigh Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina and SEACOAST OUTRIGHT in Portsmouth, New Hampshire received second and fifth place, respectively.

Equality Florida, fourth place, is “the largest civil rights organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community,” according to the charity’s Facebook page.

CenterLink Ft. Lauderdale, which received third place, develops “strong, sustainable LGBT community centers and builds a thriving center network that creates healthy, vibrant communities,” reads the CenterLink website. “CenterLink envisions communities where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people have access to flourishing LGBT community centers that advance their safety, equality and well-being.”
