SunServe is preparing to announce its new executive director, and SFGN can confirm that Tony Lima is taking the position. Lima is a familiar face to the South Florida LGBT non-profit community.

For several years he was the executive director of Safeguarding American Values for Everyone (SAVE). His LinkedIn page shows his current jobs are as COO for Arianna’s Center/Translatina Florida and the Managing Director of SL7 Strategies in Miami.

He will take over from acting Executive Director Gary Hensley, who has been with the organization for several years and is staying on at SunServe.

Lima is the latest piece of the management puzzle at SunServe. The organization has tried to refocus its efforts to be more focused on building relationships with the entire community, not just its clients. SunServe runs many programs which include helping people with substance abuse, housing insecurity, and transgender services.

We have reached out to SunServe and Lima for comment. Neither has responded as of the publishing of this article.
