Sidelines is back – and better than ever. The iconic sports bar in Wilton Manors closed in 2015, leaving LGBT sports fans without a natural place to gather.

Sidelines recently renovated the space previously occupied by Rumors on Wilton Drive.

The bar’s new location features more than 40 televisions, and brings back the sport vibe that made it a success for nine years on the drive.

The bar also features two pool tables, two 72 inch TVs, a stage for live music, food, and more.

There are three bars inside the new location. One of them features a live music stage and martini bar.

Lori Whitaker, one of the owners explained, “I wanted to bring back the fun, family atmosphere that made sidelines a success, also bringing our new location up to date, including sponsoring as many local sports teams as possible.”

Currently they are sponsoring the flag football League, Softball League, and Pool League. Sidelines has been known as one of the biggest supporters of LGBT sports in South Florida.

They also brought back Steve, Heather, and Kelly from the old Rumors bar, to bartend.

Their menu will include most of the fan favorites, and includes all fresh ingredients. The bar also features a half priced happy hour.

Earlier this year Whitaker opened up Sidelines2 in Hollywood.
