Roxy (ID 605455) is a seven-year-old gal who has the most beautiful eyes and markings. She came to the shelter on Black Friday, but we’re hoping she’ll have a home for the holidays and beyond.

Roxy gets very attached to her people and like most dogs will meet you at the door when you get home – she even looks out the window for you to arrive, and will lay at your feet while you're watching TV. She is a chatty catty and will let you know that her food bowl is empty!

Roxy is front-declawed and very well behaved in the house when left alone. She has never lived with dogs, other cats, or children, but Roxy has a very calm, agreeable demeanor. Our friends at JR Dunn could not resist her diamond-like eyes, so they have generously sponsored her adoption fee. Please stop on by and ask to meet this pretty lady today.

Sweet Becky (ID 605581) was a transfer from an overcrowded shelter and being overlooked, so she is hoping her luck will change. Becky is five years old, 45 pounds and a low-rider… she has short legs and a long body. Becky is a happy girl who likes to run around and play. She is a social butterfly and enjoys meeting new people and would love to go to doggie school to learn lots of things. Adopt Becky and you won’t be disappointed.

The adoption fee for dogs over 6 months is $100, puppies are $250, felines over 6 months are $30 and kittens are $60. When you adopt from the Humane Society of Broward County the dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, cats are feline leukemia tested, and dogs over 7 months are tested for heartworm. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 14-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food. The HSBC opens daily at 10:30 and is located at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95. For more details call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. To see who else is looking for a home visit
