Five-year-old Rosie (ID 664166) was given up after having a home her entire life because someone was allergic to her.

Now Rosie is very nervous at the shelter, but we know if the right cat lover takes her home and gives her the TLC she needs, she will be fine. Her previous family said her nickname is "Nosy Rosie," and she will check on everyone. She is a talker and if you've been away for a bit, she may tell you stories. Rosie will meow to tell you she is hungry or ready for you to wake up. Make sure you have a carpet scratcher for her, and she will use it. While she has not lived with other pets, she is good with older kids.

To meet Rosie or any other pet, complete the pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com. The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL and the adoption kennels open daily at 11 a.m. If you have questions call 954-989-3977 ext. 6 and if you can’t adopt, please share. The dogs are also in need of durable chew toys if you would like to drop some by.
