My name is Max (A655027) and I am a 6-year-old, 63-pound Boxer mix that is waiting to find my perfect match.

Unfortunately, my previous owner had to give me up because their landlord wouldn’t allow a dog my size. I miss him and I’m looking forward to the day I can meet a family that loves me and will care for me. The staff often says that they love how affectionate I can be with people of all ages. I would make a perfect family dog. When I arrived at the shelter, I had cataracts. Thanks to generous donors, I was able to have a special surgery at an eye specialist and now I can see again! It is truly amazing that everything looks so clear now. It has been a long recovery process, but so worth it.  I’m good with kids and cats, am potty-trained and know a few basic commands. I also like to chase lizards in the yard.

My friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly sponsored my adoption fee. If I sound like I might be a good fit for you and your family, please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com and then call the Humane Society of Broward County at 954-989-3977 ext. 6 to learn the next steps.  If you can’t adopt, but want to help, the shelter has extensive wish lists on Amazon and Chewy.
