Adorable Maggie (ID 657766) is a 4-year-old, Australian shepherd who was transferred to the Humane Society of Broward County from a rural shelter. 

At some point in her life, she suffered a traumatic injury to her eye which caused her to lose sight in that eye. In addition, she had several mammary masses that had to be removed. Maggie underwent surgery and has made a wonderful recovery, but she needs to keep her cone on until her stitches come out. Even with the cone on, Maggie loves playing with her toys, especially those that squeak. This beautiful gal knows to sit and may even want to sit in your lap and give kisses. Maggie is heartworm positive so her new adopting family will have to bring her back to the Humane Society for treatment or visit one of the participating VCA Animal Hospitals. The shelter will cover the cost of this life-saving treatment.
