We featured this duo last August, and sadly they are still waiting to be adopted. If you’re looking for two very sweet felines who really want a home and are getting overlooked, meet Eric, a 2-year-old fellow, and Daniel who is 4.

Both these felines are tuxedo kitties, so they are black and white in color and always ready for a black-tie affair.

They are social, love to be pet and while they didn’t know each other prior to being at the Humane Society of Broward County, the duo has become best buds in one of the community cat rooms. The boys can often be seen cuddling on their cat tree or curled up together on a comfy chair.

The pair tested positive for FIV. This is a slow-acting virus that affects a cat’s immune system and symptoms may not show for years. Cats with FIV can live 10 - 12 years or they may have a shorter life span. It is best that an FIV positive feline be the only cat in the home, or they could live with another FIV positive cat. This is not contagious to people.

Adopt the pair together and their adoption fee has been sponsored, and they can take home their giant cat tree that they like to hang out on. Eric and Daniel have been waiting since April of 2020 for a new home. Please don’t make them wait any longer.

The Humane Society of Broward County is open 7 days a week and opens daily at 11 AM. Please complete an on-line adoption application prior to visiting. Applications can be found at www.humanebroward.com. The vaccine clinic is open Monday – Friday 9 AM – 4:30 PM no appointment necessary. If you added any furry friends to your family recently, stop by to ensure they have their wellness vaccinations. For more details call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
