OUT Con Returns For Third Year of Gay Geekdom

One of Florida’s only LGBT-focused anime conventions is returning another year.

OUT Con will hit Miami on Aug. 4 at the Miami Airport Convention Center and will be chock-full of things to do, featuring dozens of artists, vendors and activities throughout the con.

“What makes OUT Con different from other conventions is the atmosphere,” said Jonathan Stryker, convention creator. “It’s an indescribable feeling of acceptance. Everyone is there to celebrate each other’s difference without fear of being judged.”

There’s also going to be panel events such as their strip and variety show, drag show and costume contest. They’ll also have Yas! The LGBT Improv Group from Villain Theatre performing LGBT-themed skits for the very first time.

“OUT Con is quickly growing into everyone’s favorite local convention because of how different the environment is,” he added. “All the events are interactive and LGBT-oriented, yet don’t exclude anyone. It’s like one big colorful party.”

Tickets start at $10. For more information, visit OUTConvention.com.
