The Florida East Coast Railway is upgrading its crossing at East Oakland Park Blvd. and North Dixie Highway.

The rail crossing is closing Thursday, March 30 at 7 a.m. and will not re-open until Thursday, April 6 at 6 p.m. Motorists, couriers and commuters are advised to make plans now for alternate routes and traffic delays.

According to a traffic alert posted on the City of Oakland Park’s website, the upgrades include construction on new signals, double tracking and other improvements.
