Robin Schwartz, the former executive director of Aqua Foundation for Women, has been named the new Miami Development Officer for Equality Florida. 

“We […] are very excited to have her as a member of our staff,” Stratton Pollitzer, Equality Florida’s Deputy Director, said in a prepared statement. “Robin’s deep ties to the Miami-Dade community, her dedication to LGBTQ equality, and her passion for ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table make her the perfect fit for this role.”
Schwartzis a co-founder of Aqua Foundation and most recently served its managing director. Additionally she is chair of the LGBTQ Advisory Committee of Miami Beach. In past has served as a committee member of the GLBTQ Projects Fund at the Miami Foundation and vice chair of Miami Beach Pride’s Board.

“I’m thrilled to join the dedicated team at Equality Florida in the fight for full equality for all LGBTQ people,” Schwartz said in a prepared statement. “I love collaboration and look forward to continuing to work with the incredible LGBTQ and ally leaders in South Florida.” 

Schwartz’s job will include fundraising, serving as the liaison between Equality Florida and the Miami community, and producing events to spread awareness and support of Equality Florida’s work.

In addition to Schwartz Equality Florida also announced they hired Shreyas Amol Jethwani as their new South Florida field organizer.

Amol is a former candidate for The Florida House of Representatives, and also worked on the Nikki Fried for Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Campaign.Amol’s job will include overseeing the execution of local policy campaigns, electoral engagement, and community coalition building.
