Wilton Manors Mayor Justin Flippen announced his re-election bid Thursday. The election will be held Nov. 3.

I seek to preserve and improve the quality of life within our urban village and to continue to build upon the inclusive community values found in the policies adopted at city hall based upon the practices of acceptance and belonging uniquely exemplified by our neighbors.”  

No other candidates have announced their intentions to run for mayor yet. Two of the City Commission seats are also up for grabs in the election. Three candidates have announced so far for those seats including incumbent Julie Carson and political newcomers Mike Bracchi and Chris Caputo

Flippen will hold a kick off event at DRYNK in Wilton Manors from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.
