Fort Lauderdale is about to geek out hardcore this weekend.
Comic, video game and anime convention Florida Supercon comes to the Broward County Convention Center from July 12-15. The convention will feature celebrity guests, vendors, panels and more.
The convention is chock-full of LGBT celebs. Openly gay actor Robin Lord Taylor, known for his role as Penguin in DC Drama “Gotham,” will be making an appearance on Saturday and Sunday. Taylor will be signing autographs and taking photos with fans for a fee and will also be doing a Q&A open to all attendees for free.
He’s joined by openly lesbian actress Bex Taylor-Klaus, known for the role of Katie “Pidge” Holt on television series “Voltron: Legendary Defender.” Taylor-Klaus will be at the convention from Thursday through Sunday signing autographs at her booth for a fee which comes with a free tableside selfie. She will also be at a Q&A panel open to attendees at no cost.
There’s also at least one LGBT voice actor — Paul Nakauchi, known for his roles in “Overwatch” as Hanzo and “Death Note” as Watari. He will be at Supercon from Thursday through Sunday to sign autographs and take selfies for a fee.
Florida Supercon is at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets start at $20 and go up to $50 for single day passes. All weekend and VIP passes are currently sold out. For more information, visit FloridaSupercon.com.
