From our media partners at Gossip Extra: WELLINGTON – An HIV-infected man savagely attacked Palm Beach County Sheriff‘s deputy and bit off a large bit of flesh from his forearm in a Wellington restaurant.

Jeffrey Switzer, 25, is currently in the county slammer, being held in lieu of $26,000 bail.

In the arrest report the deputy, whose identity is being withheld, wrote that Switzer bit him.

The lawman then saw Switzer “spit out the large [chunk] of skin from his mouth!”

The attack happened when deputies were called early Monday morning to the Coach House Restaurant and Bar in Wellington. Switzer was arguing with restaurant staff, refusing to to leave.

A “violent struggle” ensued and Switzer allegedly spit, bit, punched and kicked one of the deputies called to the scene.

Switzer was tased, but the attempts to subdue him failed at first.

Switzer was charged with resisting an officer with violence, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, trespassing, and criminal mischief and two counts of battery on an officer.

The attack taking us back to the spring of 2012 when a Miami man, Rudy Eugene, partially chewed off the face of a homeless man named Ronald Poppo, sparking a national debate on the existence of zombies.

By the way the Coach House, at 13410 South Shore Boulevard, was once knowns as Player’s Club. That’s where polo mogul John Goodman took his last drinks before the DUI accident that killed Scott Wilson in 2010 and sent Goodman to prison for 16 years.
