Night Runners WPB Collaborates with Brook Running and Compass Community Centered for Pride Run
Bryant Park, Lake Worth Beach — March 27, 2020 — 7:00pm — Pride 5K
As part of an ongoing partnership with International Front Runners, Brooks Running Company awarded Night Runners WPB a $5,000 donation toward hosting a Pride 5K in Palm Beach County. As the Front Runners Chapter for West Palm Beach, Night Runners WPB has taken on the commitment to produce the upcoming event, which will kick off the 2020 Palm Beach Pride Weekend.
There are many ways for the local community to get involved with the Pride 5K through participating in the run/walk, sponsoring elements of the race or volunteering. Night Runners WPB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has created a space for people to meet up and run or walk in Downtown West Palm Beach. As part of the organizations effort to promote community through fitness, the group has also utilized additional funds raised from the 5K to sponsor local youth groups. The sponsorship covers 100% of the registration for youth interested in the event from the Compass Community Centered Youth Program and the West Palm Beach Parks and Recreation Youth Empowerment Center.
