A celebration of life will be held for James Fahy, Wednesday, June 30 at 7:30 p.m. at United Church of Christ in Fort Lauderdale.

Fahy, 75, was killed June 19 in a tragic automobile accident at the start of the Stonewall Street Festival’s parade in Wilton Manors. Two other people were hurt. All four, including the driver, were members of the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus.

In a statement following the incident, FTLGMC President Justin Knight said Fahy was “a longtime, valued member of our Chorus family and he will be deeply missed.”

Another member of the chorus, Tom Cusack said: “I don’t want to use a cliché, but we’re all a family.” Fahy, a second tenor, “was a quiet guy, always smiling. He loved Christmas music and especially the Christmas concert.”
