On Thursday, Feb. 12, Broward House will host its quarterly Spirit of Hope Reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Greenbar and Kitchen. It’s located at 1075 SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale.
“The Broward House Spirit of Hope receptions are quarterly, free of charge, evening events with food, wine and music. They are sponsored by local restaurants to help Broward House raise money for our HIV/AIDS programs, community network, Spirit of Hope memberships and donors. The money goes directly to gaps in funding like electricity for our buildings, supplies and transportation to get our clients to essential medical appointments, to name a few,” said Lisa Keeler-Kravitz, Director of Development at Broward House.
Broward House is a community-centered health organization with several locations, designed to meet the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since 1988, it has grown to provide a full array of quality services to those living with and at risk for HIV and other health issues. Broward House serves over 6,000 women, children, men and families living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.
“The Spirit of Hope receptions are great opportunities for individuals, families, or businesses to network with like minds and eat and drink, free of cost. At these receptions people sign up to be a Spirit of Hope member to support the care and service Broward House provides to the community through an annual contribution commitment. These tax deductible contributions may be submitted monthly, quarterly, or annually,” Keeler-Kravitz said.
As an ultimate tribute to its Spirit of Hope partners, Broward House is creating a permanent Spirit of Hope monument. It will be constructed in the entrance of their service centers commemorating partners for their support and belief in their mission and to honor the memory of loved ones.
Broward House’s Spirit of Hope Reception takes place Thursday, Feb. 12 at Greenbar and Kitchen from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
