On Don’t Ask Don’t Tell

1. “When you take the military and you tell it they must conform to the individual’s behavior, then it’s just a matter of time before you break down the military.”

2. “Unless I’m Michael Jackson, I can’t change my color. But people can change behavior.”

3. “It is not the mission of the U.S. military to regulate or try to get into the patrol of sexual behaviors. When we try to accommodate all different behaviors -- what happens to standards and morals and the discipline of the U.S. Army?”

4. “Also, one must be concerned about the pressures placed upon leaders to implement this repeal and not challenge any issues they encounter. We saw the ill effects of allowing political correctness in the military with the Major Nadal Hassan episode...[Hassan was a Muslim officer who went on a shooting spree at Fort Hood, killing 13].”

5. “My concern centers on forcing the U.S. Military, whose mission is to fight and win wars, to assimilate its culture to individual behaviors. When I hear other members of the subcommittee, “liberals” attempts to parallel the goal of the law with the integration of blacks and females in our Armed Services, well, I shake my head at the absurdity of such claims. Race and gender are not behaviors. Therefore, I wonder what comes next for our Military from the social engineers of the liberal progressive agenda?”

On Gay Marriage

6. “We must hold sacred the privilege of the institution of marriage ... to promote the promulgation of our society. Because we cannot allow the destruction of the American family ... And why is that important? Because if you break down the American family, that leads to government dependency, which leads to the growth of government, which leads and results in greater government spending.”

7. “The term ‘gay marriage’ is an oxymoron. Because marriage is a union and a bond between a man and a woman to do one thing: the furtherance of society by procreation, through creating new life.”

On Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz

8. “You are the most vile, unprofessional ,and despicable member of the US House of Representatives. If you have something to say to me, stop being a coward and say it to my face, otherwise, shut the heck up.”
