After taking a few days to process what occurred in Wilton Manors Entertainment District at the Stonewall Pride parade, I am writing to express my concern and opinion.

This "Terrible Accident" that canceled the "Out of the Dark into the Light" Parade could have been prevented!

Why on Earth is an elderly 77-year-old man with known leg and walking problems put behind the wheel of an oversized pickup truck to drive in a parade?

This is not a tragic accident.

It is negligence on both the guilty driver and organizers who knew of his handicap!

I dealt with much emotional pain with this incident, even after I learned it wasn't intentional.

The driver should be charged with Reckless Driving and Vehicular Homicide!

NO EXCUSES.

Future Parades also need a consideration: NO Vehicles.

JUST MARCH!
