World AIDS Day is a time when CAN Community Health joins the global community to show support for those living with and affected by HIV, remembering those we’ve lost, and raising HIV awareness to end HIV stigma.
CAN Community Health has served the HIV community in Florida since 1991, and now nationwide. We are a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the treatment, care, and continual wellness of people living with HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs and other diseases. Some of our locations also provide dental, behavioral health, and lifestyle counseling to all patients, regardless of their financial situation, insurance status, or ability to pay. CAN Community Health provides HIV specialty care by board-certified Infectious Disease trained physicians.
CAN Community Health has continued to expand nationwide by partnering with community-based organizations to better serve those most impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C, STDs and other diseases. Through our strategic community partnerships with Broward House and Pridelines, CAN Community Health focuses on the unique needs of the LGBTQ community by offering education, assistance, and support. Together with our partners, we are raising awareness, overcoming barriers to care and fighting to end HIV stigma.
In South Florida, CAN Community Health has partnered with Pridelines and Broward House. Together, we provide PrEP services, HIV education and treatment, specialized wellness support and resources to the LGBTQ community and local support to community events like Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale Pride.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, CAN Community Health celebrated the Grand Opening of our newest clinic located at 427 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139. Dr. Amy Wecker and her team, together with Pridelines, offer an array of services including Age Management, HIV and STDs testing and treatment, Hepatitis C treatment, PrEP services, vaccinations and transportation services. We are also proud to provide our South Beach clients with a personalized plan of care through support from our own on-site Patient Care Coordinator and PrEP Navigator.
On this World AIDS Day, CAN Community Health welcomes you help raise awareness for communities impacted by HIV and to know your status.
