On Sunday, February 14, 2010, the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches is holding a “COMMUNITY” Holy Union or Re-Commitment ceremony.

A Holy Union is a formal religious ceremony of commitment for couples of the same gender. A Re-Commitment is a celebration of your Holy Union or previous commitment. Commitment vows will be taken and rings will be exchanged.

“The sacred ceremony and commitment will be made to God and each other in the presence of family and the community!” stated Rev. Patrick Rogers, the ordained minister of MCC, who will officiate at the ceremony.

“The church sanctuary will be decorated for a fabulous wedding, “he added, noting the traditional wedding march will be played. The traditional wedding cake reception will follow the ceremony.

Metropolitan Community Churches have been officiating Gay Marriages for over 30 years and works towards the day when “they will have equal recognition in the state and federal governments,” said Rev. Rogers.

The deadline to register for the ceremony for is Friday, February 12. Contact the Northlake Boulevard church offices at 561.775.5900 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Their website is www.MCCPalmBeach.org.
