Annual Festival Promises Great Cuisine

Food lovers, mark your calendars.  The 5th annual Taste of the Island will take place on Monday, October 25 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve, in Wilton Manors.

The evening, filled with great food, music and a silent auction will benefit the Wilton Manors Historical Society, Wilton Manors Main Street, Wilton Manors Leisure Services Department and the Wilton Manors Kiwanis Club. Proceeds from the Silent Auction will benefit the Friends of Library.

Last year’s event featured over 50 restaurants and vendors and an additional 10 wine tasting stations.  This year, the event will feature fine culinary cuisine from renowned restaurants such as Lola’s on Harrison, Maracas Mexican Bar and Grill and Aruba Beach Café in addition to Wilton Drive staples including Rosie’s Bar & Grill, Georgie’s Alibi and Galanga Thai Kitchen.

Advance tickets will are available for $30.00 and can be purchased at Wilton Manors City Hall and the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library of Wilton Manors. For more information, please call 954-565-1445.
