Second only to New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day is a time to dine out and area restaurants are offering all sorts of package deals to entice lovebirds.
And for those not in relationships, places are marketing “Galentine’s Day” celebrations when girlfriends (one assumes single) gather to celebrate. And if straight men weren’t so intimidated, they’d probably be promoting “Palentine’s Day” events as well.
One of the Galentine suggestions (which I think single gay men should adopt) is to attend the The Aquamen show in the Wreck Bar at B Ocean Resort. The Aquamen shows are held on Thursdays which is Valentine’s Eve. Doors Open at 7p.m., for dinner and drinks, then the show goes live at nine. Or dine at Naked Crab beforehand and enjoy a 5-course meal for $75, a complimentary glass of Moet & Chandon Champagne. For reservations call 954-245-3836 or go to boceanfortlauderdale.com. Valet parking is $5 with dining validation.
Death or Glory will have a Galentine's Day Party on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 6-7:30 p.m. Jen from Jen Blossoms Design will help guests make their own fresh flower heart shaped wreath. All supplies, including fresh flowers, are provided. The cost to participate is $65 per person plus tax and includes a special cocktail. Space is limited. Must reserve in advance.
Louie Bossi's will have specials for Valentine's Day including: Maine lobster salad, Tomahawk ribeye for two and for dessert, orange and olive oil cake with zabaglione gelato and strawberries. Louie Bossi's is located at 1032 East Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale 954-356-6699, and at 100 East Palmetto Park Rd. in Boca Raton, 561-336-6699.
TooJay’s Deli celebrates Valentine’s Day from Monday, Feb. 3 through Sunday, Feb. 16 with a $25.99 “Dinner for Too” featuring TooJay’s red velvet cake. The special includes a choice of two soups or salads, two entrées, two non-alcoholic beverages which can be upgraded to wine or beer for an additional $3 each, and a choice of one dessert to share. Guests are required to present a coupon (https://www.toojays.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Valentines-Day-Dinner-for-Too-25.99-Coupon.pdf) before ordering.
