June is Pride Month at Compass. The impact that COVID-19 has had on our community members, and on Compass as an institution, has been profound. That means this year’s Pride month observations will look different than in years past.

Despite the pandemic, Compass continues to provide nearly all of our services, through remote options and phone calls which replace in-person meetings and appointments. Zoom calls have replaced in-person meetings for support groups, therapy sessions, and youth group gatherings. Case managers are providing their services to clients over the phone, and carefully managing no-contact handoffs of food pantry cards, the only service that cant be virtualized.

We are committed to continuing our work with no reduction in staff or hours, but we have lost two of our largest fundraisers this year, Palm Beach Pride and the Stonewall Ball. Our ability to continue offering these services that we have provided to our community for 30+ years is at risk.

We need your help. Our goal is to raise $30,000 this month. Each dollar we raise will go to critical, life-saving services that Compass provides directly to our community. Please donate atwww.compassglcc.com/support

On June 27, instead of getting together for our Stonewall Ball, we are asking our community to participate in our Stonewall Stay the Heck Home” Ball. This will be an evening spent with close friends virtually as we support local restaurants and businesses. If you are interested in hosting a virtual dinner party on the 27, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Leading up to the ball, we have virtual events planned for the whole month of June to keep us all connected, as well as social media posts highlighting our amazing community.  Follow Compass on Facebook and IG for more info, or visit www.compassglcc.com
