The 2018 class for the Hollywood Walk of Fame was announced this week and the host of the hit reality competition series RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul Charles, is getting his own star.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce revealed that the television personality, along with countless other celebs, will be joining the famous landmark in 2018.

RuPaul took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the prestigious recognition.

“Sweet Cheeses! My heart is beating so fast right now!” the Drag Race impresario tweeted this past summer.

Along with RuPaul, other big names such as Taraji P. Henson, Shonda Rhimes, Snoop Dogg, Ryan Murphy, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the late Steve Irwin will be joining over 2,600 stars that are located 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street.

According to NewNowNext, RuPaul’s star will be revealed on March 16.

Walk of Fame committee member Vin Di Bona.discussed the thought process of choosing this year’s honorees.

“[We] looked carefully at each nominee and we feel that we have selected an eclectic group of talent that will appeal to the tastes of many fans around the world,” said Walk of Fame committee member Vin Di Bona. “I know these honorees will remember the dedication of their stars with great memories and will be proud that they are part of Hollywood’s history now and forever.”
