Lady Gaga has been very vocal about her Hillary Clinton support, rocking during Clinton's final rally Monday, the eve of Election Day. And Mother Monster didn't back down early Wednesday morning when it became clear that Donald Trump would become the 45th president of the United States.

Gaga was photographed protesting outside Trump Tower in New York City, standing on a sanitation truck holding a sign that read "Love trumps hate," the Telegraph points out.

The newspaper writes Gaga "has been seen in tears earlier in the evening while she sat backstage at Clinton's election night party, according to MSNBC Political Correspondent Kasie Hunt."

During the night, Gaga also tweeted:

Gaga also spoke at Clinton's campaign this week, praising the failed Democratic presidential nominee.

"She has a career in politics that spans decades of experience, education, leadership, and wisdom. She's ready to be president," Gaga said, according to the Telegraph.
