(EDGE) Many celebrities are taking issue with Kevin Spacey for coming out as gay after he was accused by "Star Trek" star Anthony Rapp for alleged sexual misconduct when he was 14 years old.

Speaking with BuzzFeed, Rapp said Spacey befriended him while they were performing on Broadway. Rapp was 14 at the time he attended a party at the "House of Cards" actor's apartment in 1986. Rapp says at the end of the night, a drunk Spacey picked him up and placed him on his bed. Rapp says Spacey, who was 26 at the time, then climbed on top of him.

Responding to Rapp's claims in a tweet, Spacey apologized and also came out as gay. But a number of celebrities are calling out Spacey's decision to come out in the wake of Rapp's interview.

Among the celebs taking issue with Spacey's statement are Billy Eichner, Rose McGowan, Wanda Sykes, Dan Savage and more.
