NEW YORK (AP) — The New York debut of a collection of nine short plays that all deal with gay marriage by playwrights including Neil LaBute, Doug Wright, Paul Rudnick and Moises Kaufman has been delayed.
Producers said Wednesday that "Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays" will begin previews at the Minetta Lane Theatre on Nov. 7 with an official opening on Nov. 13. Previously, the plays were to make their bow in October.
The plays were created to raise money and awareness in support of marriage equality. A portion of each ticket will be donated to pro-gay marriage organizations. A rotating cast of actors will be announced later.
In addition to LaBute, Wright, Rudnick and Kaufman, the other playwrights are Jordan Harrison, Wendy McLeod, Jeffrey Hatcher, Joe Keenan and Jose Rivera.
