Businesses, both gay and allied, are eager to offer their products and / or services to those who will soon join their loved ones in matrimony. Many wedding preparations are on their way and businesses are cruising full steam ahead in aiding these couples in their journey.

    The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) is one of the largest and most active business chambers of its kind in South Florida. Since its inception over 12 years ago, we have taken pride in successfully promoting and supporting opportunities for the LGBT and allied community through its role as a grassroots business and professional association.

    Networking and educational opportunities are a few of the things that the MDGLCC helps coordinate for its members and welcomes the community at large to participate in. Below is one upcoming opportunity for the month of February that you might want to consider exploring and attending.  

    On Friday, Feb. 28join us for a Networking Breakfast with Dale Carnegie Training entitled "Sell more in 2014.” At this interactive and engaging seminar participants will learn how to: sell with increased confidence, connect quickly and easily with prospects and customers, build relationships so prospects and clients want to talk about their interests, understand the power of following a sales process, understand how a positive attitude contributes to sales results, incorporate best practices for results oriented appointments.

  • Social Mixer Brings Young LGBT Professionals Together

    The Young Professionals Network (YPN), a collaboration between the Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) and the Gay Vista Social Club (GVSC), is holding a social mixer from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., in Coral Gables.

  • The Ruby Gala to Honor Corporate and Individual LGBT Allies

    The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) will honor corporate and individual supporters of the local LGBT community at its 17th annual gala and awards celebration, The Ruby Gala, at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Hilton Miami Downtown, 1601 Biscayne Blvd.
