A storied tradition returns to the streets of Wilton Manors this summer when the Stonewall Summer Pride festivities celebrate gay pride once again at the end of June.
This year’s events will mimic last year’s two-day event with the parade being held Saturday, June 22 and the street festival on Sunday, June 23.
Wilton Drive will shut down at 3 p.m. on Saturday in preparation for the 7:30 p.m. start time of the Stonewall Summer Pride Twilight Parade. Directly following the parade, international sensation DJ Kidd Madonny takes the stage to get the crowd moving with his unique beats and his one-of-a-kind laser light show.
June 23 sees the return of the Stonewall Street Festival.
Vendors will be lining the streets starting at 11 a.m. and live entertainment will continue throughout the day. The day will be highlighted by an all-star studded concert starting at 8 p.m. with performances by Grammy Award nominee Amber, “Keep on Walkin” singer CeCe Peniston and the 16-time #1 Billboard Club Hits artist Christine W.
