In the mood for a cocktail – shaken, not stirred?
Welcome to Kuro, an upscale bar option inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The Japanese-styled hotspot is still relatively new at Hard Rock, a massive entertainment complex located just east of Florida’s turnpike in Broward County.
During a recent visit with the social media director, SFGN was treated to a delicious dinner. At Kuro, patrons can request a personalized course, totaling turning over the experience to your server and trusting the work of the kitchen, which is open air for all to see.
“Led by Creative Culinary Director and Executive Chef Alex Becker, menu items boast bold and complex flavors that are balanced and harmonious, and are designed with sharing in mind,” said Katherine Schober, Hard Rock Social Media Specialist.
If you wish, begin your culinary journey with a cocktail. You can experience the five tastes – sweet, sour, umami, bitter and salty – in each creation.
A Hachi is Japanese four-mushroom bourbon, mirin, black pepper syrup and lemon juice. For sweeter tastes, there’s “Ni” – rum, yuzu, watermelon, thai basil, fennel syrup and togarashi. Or go with the house “Kuro” brand of rum, squid ink, black sesame seeds and lime juice.
And you’ll want to get a seat by the window and enjoy the poolside view.
Kuro Bar & Lounge opens daily from 5 p.m. till close. To book your table, call 954-327-7625 or visit www.seminolehardrockhollywood.com
