The competition may be over for the Pittsburgh Steelers, yet the competition is just heating up for two local entertainers. Dueling Divas Mary-Jane Cunningham and Sandy Warren will perform at the Jennie Grossinger Theatre at Forest Trace in a musical duel on February 19, at 8:00 p.m. Forest Trace is a luxurious, diverse, and welcoming resort-style community located in Lauderhill.

The event will benefit the Broward Health Breast Cancer Center. This will be Cunningham’s eleventh benefit supporting breast cancer awareness and health. She has hosted the well-known Mary-Jane’s Annual Tea Dance since she battled breast cancer in 1999, raising over $100,000 through these well-received events.

This is the first time she will share the Forest Trace stage with another performer. Sandy Warren is an accomplished singer as well – her resume includes a Royal Command Performance in London.

“Sandy has challenged me to a musical duel in the fight against breast cancer,” explained Cunningham. “Since this cause is so close to my heart, how could I turn her down?”

Cunningham and Warren both have a relationship with Forest Trace. Warren is the Activities Director, and Cunningham lives there with her partner, Joan Thomson. In addition to sharing the stage for the first time, this is the first time she is bringing it to the adult community’s stage. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door.
