The organizers are very much hoping Debbie Wasserman Schultz shows up — that’ll really be the head on the beer.

It’s going down Friday, Aug. 26. Up and down Wilton Drive, Obama supporters — and whoever’s out for a drink — will be privy to the Get Out the Vote Pub Crawl. The Drive is home to many LGBT-friendly businesses and bars, a seemingly perfect location for the crawl. The idea is to go from bar to bar, party, and campaign, informing the public while having some fun.

The first stop is at 2 p.m. at Sidelines Sports Bar, at 2031 Wilton Drive, in Wilton Manors. From there, the group will travel down the Drive in about 45-minute increments. With the group will be entertainers and politicians trying to increase the size of the group before it travels on.

There are eight bars participating: Sidelines Sports Bar, Bill’s Filling Station, The Manor, Rosie’s Bar and Grill, New Moon, Matty’s On the Drive, The Alibi, and Boom.
