Singaporean Gay Couple Raise Funds to Challenge Ban Gay Sex
A gay couple in Singapore has raised over $80,000 in their quest to challenge their country’s constitutional ban on gay sex. The original goal was $50,000 but that goal was surpassed just 18 hours after launching their campaign on indiegogo.com.
In April of this year, Gary and Kenneth were disappointed when the Singapore High court ruled against them and upheld Section 377A of the Singapore Penal Code which criminalizes sex between two men. They are raising money to challenge the ban.
