Orlando Trans Victim Shot Killed, at Mobile Home Park
ORLANDO | Witnesses say four shots fired from a black sedan in the early morning hours of April 4 were intentionally pointed at a transgender resident of a mobile home park on Nimrod Lane. That victim, who authorities have not yet identified, died at the scene. The park is in the Oak Ridge area.
Deputies said that the victim was a 30-year-old male and that they are still looking for clues to the killer’s identity.
Jeff Williams of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said this case is an obvious homicide.
“They’ve been canvassing the area to see if they’ve seen anything,” Williamson said. “They do have the victim identified but have not notified the next of kin yet.”
One witness so far has stepped forward, but sheriff’s deputies need more information. Anyone who saw or heard anything is asked to call CrimeLine at 1-800-423-8477.
More information is expected to be released after next of kin is notified.
