Just a Minute! Check out the 2013 BMW 328i M-Sport
The ubiquitous BMW 3-Series may be the least clever automotive choice a gay man or woman can make. Seriously the 3-Series is as common as gourmet jeans at a gay cocktail party or ribbed tank tops at Golds Gym. But there’s a reason we flock to this car: it’s really, really good.
For 2013, the 3-Series has become even better. While not everyone I know (myself included) thinks this latest model is the best-looking 3-Series ever, even with the M-Sport package’s slick aero kit, I can say without equivocation that it is as divine to drive as it’s ever been. The standard 240-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers stronger acceleration than its low cylinder count might suggest, and the rear-wheel drive layout and sparkling steering make for corner-carving perfection. The 3-Series is none too spacious inside, and it’s certainly not cheap (prices swell to over $50K quite quickly once a few options are selected, my tester rang in near $46K and was still missing navigation) but fuel economy is outstanding, and few cars can touch it in terms of the way it communicates with its driver. It’s the kind of car that makes you proud as you walk up to it in a parking lot. If you can remember which one is yours.
