(EDGE) Some monarchs just can't take a joke.

Cambodian police are on the hunt for three suspects whom they believe are responsible for photoshopping an image of the country's king into a gay porn scene. The men responsible for the prank are believed to be in neighboring Thailand, South China Morning Post (SCMP) reports.

"We have got orders to arrest them," said Cambodian General Khieu Sopheak of the country's Ministry of the Interior. "If we don't take action against them, more people might follow their act."

Cambodia is one of the most tolerant nations to LGBT rights in Southeast Asia. Same-sex sexual activity is legal and though LGBT rights legislation has not yet been enacted by the ruling government, a third gender is recognized and accepted.

According to SCMP, King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia is largely respected in the country and is considered above the country's political fray. He has spent much of his adult life pursuing a career in the arts- including establishing his own ballet company.

SCMP also notes that he is unmarried and has no children.
