Malaysia’s Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali was accused of being in a leaked gay sex tape, and 200 people protested in the capital, calling for him to resign.

Gay sex is illegal in Malaysia, and even though the minister maintains the video is fake, the protestors said the video “embarrased the nation,” according to Gay Star News.Malaysia’s main opposition party leader Lokman Noor Adam led the protest, and has prompted police to investigate the video.

“I made a police report to ask them to investigate who spread the video. I also asked the police to investigate who the actors were in the video. Why? Because it is a crime,” Adam said, according to Free Malaysia Today. “We do not want this issue to be hidden and swept under the carpet.”

The Starreported that the investigation to confirm or deny the authenticity of the video is ongoing.
