A young gay couple was reportedly attacked by nine men and a woman "all dressed in black Neo-Nazi attire" in Madrid, Spain, on Friday, according to The Local.
The men, age 17 and 23, were sitting on a bench with a friend in the Temple of Debod district of Madrid, the capital of Spain, when the gang allegedly approached them around 9 p.m.
The group assaulted the couple by pushing and kicking them and the teen was sent to the hospital where he stayed for several hours after suffering bruises to the back of his neck.
According to Gay Star News, the group was dressed all in black and wore military-style boots. At the time of the incident, the couple was also reportedly holding hands before they were beat. The group allegedly asked the men if they were "fags" or "fascists."
The couple's friend, who is identified as a straight man by GSN, was not hurt in the attack.
The men did not want to reveal their identity or speak to the media because they said they were "afraid," Santiago Rivero of Madrid's LGBT group Cogam, told the Spanish edition of the Huffington Post.
The attack comes just days after a number of couples staged a "kiss-in" at a Burger King in Madrid after the restaurant's security guard told a young gay couple to leave for kissing, the Huffington Post notes.
