The Cayman Islands recently legalized gay marriage, but the government has called to appeal this ruling, leading rights groups to protest.
And they aren’t the only ones who are unhappy, the British government is displeased with the decision to appeal the ruling as well, according to Cayman 27 News. Colours Cayman, an LGBT rights group, staged a demonstration following the decision.
“No matter what push back we get we will keep fighting for our rights, keep fighting for our visibility and representation, everything else that everyone else enjoys and takes advantage off or maybe takes for granted,” said Billie Bryan, President of Colours Cayman, according to Cayman 27 News.
The Cayman legislators are still debating on the motion to appeal.
