The City of Fort Lauderdale will begin chlorinating the water system starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20 and will continue through 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25. The chlorination will impact residents in Fort Lauderdale, Wilton Manors, and Oakland Park.
Shred-A-Thon and Medication Disposal
The Broward Sheriff’s Office will hold its monthly Shred-A-Thon and Operation Medicine Cabinet events on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oakland Park City Hall, 3650 NE 12 Ave. People who donate unused prescription medication will receive a $5 gift card.
