In the final episode of season five, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s” Rosa is going through a “bisexual panic” in the eyes of some viewers.
Rosa, who is played by Stephanie Beatriz, met rideshare driver Alicia (Gina Rodriguez) and instantly showed attraction toward the character, according to PinkNews. Fans of the show pointed this out over Twitter.
“rosa falling in love with gina rodriguez’s character alicia is the best thing to happen on brooklyn nine nine,” Twitter user @peraItiaqos tweeted.
Terry Crews’ character Terry also notices this. At one point, he mentions that Rosa is single to the driver.
Beatriz, who is bisexual in real life, worked with show co-creator Dan Goor to cast Rosa’s potential love interest. She has mentioned a few dream castings for the role, including Kate McKinnon, Jennifer Lopez and Rodriguez.
“Um...can I get an audition @Brooklyn99FOX,” Rodriguez tweeted. “*applies lip gloss and puckers lips* @iamstephbeatz you know I’m ready and on the sidelines like Go Rosa Go!”
NBC just picked up the series after FOX had not renewed the show for another season past Five, according to Deadline. After the cancellation, the series future was previously up in the air.
