Online Buddies, parent company of the popular gay dating and hookup site, Manhunt.net, announced this week its acquisition of Jack'd, a location-based gay dating app similar to Grindr. With this acquisition, Online Buddies, claims they are now the largest company in the world to connect men seeking men. With the addition of Jack'd, Manhunt and its Manhunt Daily blog, receive 2 million unique visits each day.
Jack'd is available for Android and iPhone operating systems. The free app features multiple profile pictures, push notifications, extended profile filtering and viewing options, favorites and followers lists, unlimited message exchanges, and an exclusive member matching algorithm.
Almost 5 million men have joined the app since its launch in 2010 and with an average 10,000 installs each day.
