(SFGN) A woman in Italy had her Facebook account suspended after posting a photograph of two women kissing.
According to Pink News, Carlotta Trevisan, a 28-year-old mother, posted the stock photograph on Facebook in support of International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT).
Soon after she had posted it, she began to receive criticism and complaints from Facebook friends, according to Metro.
Facebook contacted her with a message stating that she had violated Facebook’s rules regarding “nudity and pornography,” according to the Independent. Trevisan refused to take down the photo, and her account was suspended.
Facebook recently apologized for its mistake and unsuspended the account.
