The world of business and our own individual lives are impacted daily by the many things that surround us and that we become in contact with. Some of these things can be categorized as Disruptors (something that radically changes an industry, business strategy, etc. by introducing a new product or service that creates a new market), Innovations (a "new idea, device, or method”; something original and more effective and, as a consequence, new, that "breaks into" the market or society) or even an Influencer (a power affecting a person, thing, or course of events, especially one that operates without any direct or apparent effort. To change the behavior or thinking of someone).
The Miami-Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (MDGLCC) invites you to participate of its bi-monthly EXPOsure Networking Luncheons where panel discussion with esteem professionals is the areas of Health Care, Technology, Transportation, Utilities, and the Arts discussing how the quality of life in Miami is being impacted by elements in their respective industries recognized as Disruptors, Innovations, and / or Influencers. At this event Baptist Health South Florida, the luncheons sponsor, will explain why they consider their “Care on Demand” app a disruptor in the Healthcare industry. “Care on Demand” provides immediate virtual access to a board certified doctor from a smart phone, tablet or computer, day or night anywhere in the sunshine state. The app allows a client to ask the doctor questions, discuss treatment options, and even get a prescription by phone. Other expected panelists include FPL, Comcast, Tesla, and the New World Symphony.
Held 5 times per year at a member location, these Chamber well-attended panel luncheons showcase MDGLCC members and their expertise as they discuss current topics of relevance followed by a robust Q&A. One of the trademark features of this event is a Marketplace Expo allowing members to connect more specifically with our 100 plus attendees. Networking is a goal at all the MDGLCC events and, with the added benefit of our Expo showcase of 20 chamber members, this has become one of the Chamber’s popular events.
