Advocate.com is reporting that Jeff Hannon, nephew and campaign worker for Carl Paladino, is "very offended" by the anti-gay statements made by his uncle while speaking to ultra-Orthodox Jews in Brooklyn.
In a short interview with The New York Post, Hannon says, "Obviously, I'm very offended by his comments."
Hannon has not been working for the campaign since the incident.
As we reported on Monday, Carl Paladino, a GOP gubernatorial candidate was very clear about his opposition of gay marriage, saying yesterday, in front on a group of about 50 Hasidic Jews, that” gays should be ashamed of themselves.”
Ironically, the Associated Press is reporting that Paladino has rented properties to 2 gay clubs.
"AP - Cobalt, one of the two clubs, operated as a gay bar in 2004 and most of 2005 and was run by Paladino's son, William, the Daily News reported Wednesday, citing state liquor board records. It was housed in a building owned by one of Paladino's many companies, Huron Group LLC, the newspaper said. The club was run under another corporate name."
