Restaurateur and hotelier Barton G. Weiss’ newest venture, Prelude by Barton G Presents will ring in the New Year in the Magic City. The cabaret-style event will feature major noted entertainer Cheyenne Jackson as the inaugural headliner. Jackson performs Friday, December 31, and Saturday, January 1, at Prelude By Barton G presented by Prelude and The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Cheyenne Jackson has starred in such hit Broadway shows as “Finian’s Rainbow,” “Damn Yankees,” and “Xanadu.” Jackson is currently starring as fresh-faced Danny Baker on NBC”s “30 Rock.” Fans of Glee know him as Dustin Goolsby, the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline in Fox’s hit TV series “Glee.”
Jackson has also appeared with Michael Feinstein at the latter’s New York supper club, and at a sold out Carnegie Hall concert in “The Power of Two.”
Additional performers are scheduled for future performances at the Prelude. Karen Olivo, who won a Tony Award in “West Side Story” will perform on January 14 & 15. Gavin Creel, a two-time Tiny Aware Nominee, and OUT magazine honoree or as one of the OUT 100 will appear on January 21 & 22.
“This brings a modern edge to a classic style of entertainment and a unique opportunity for South Florida audiences to experience today’s biggest names in entertainment in a uniquely personal and intimate setting,” said Weiss.
