Last week the U.S. Senate finally passed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act which was originally introduced in 1994. It took a bi-partisan effort in order to finally pass it with 10 republicans voting in favor, two of which, John McCain and Orrin Hatch, previously voted against the bill. SFGN salutes those Republican senators who decided equality is more important than politics and that no person should be fired based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.
