A Buzzfeed poll has given insight into how many bisexuals make up the LGBT community.
The publication reported 46 percent of LGBT people in their poll were bisexual, according to Out. That differs from the Pew Research Center’s 2013 findings, which said 43 percent of the community was bisexual.
“...The poll's starkest finding: Nearly half — 46% — of the LGBTQ population identifies as bisexual, which then skews heavily female, younger, and tends to be more racially diverse,” Buzzfeed wrote. “People who identify their orientation as queer, asexual, or self-described make up 6% of participants.”
Around 880 LGBT people were polled in this particular study. The poll also found that nearly half of LGBT people identified as Christian and a fourth of LGBT people did not have sex in the last year.
