(EDGE) Comic cabaret singer and one-woman wrecking force Bridget Everett has released a new musical track, "Pussy Grabs Back," and is dedicating all proceeds from the sale of the single to Planned Parenthood.
It is a synthesizer-heavy techno song with Everett singing lyrics, "What's mine is mine, what's mine is not yours/ you come a knocking at the wrong door, you touch this kitty, this kitty gonna bite/ And now it's you who can't sleep at night."
"He said grab them by the pussy, and we said the Pussy Grabs Back," writes Everett on her website, adding, "Be careful what you wish for. The pussy grabs back!"
The short tune has been well-received by fans like Lena Dunham, who posted on her Twitter feed, "Got an early listen- it's pure brilliance," as did pocket gay Cole Escola, who Tweeted that he was "grabbing back with my sisters to the tune of @bridgeteverett's new single. Proceeds go to Planned Parenthood."

Cabaret artist Adrienne Truscott originally of the Wau Wau Sisters posted on Everett's Facebook page that "they recorded this raging song inspired by Amanda Duarte's #pussygrabsback hashtag and graphic and my baby Cristopher Carmine Covelli laid down the beats and added another graphic to the growing howl. All proceeds go to Planned Parenthood!!!"
AdRock, aka Adam Horovitz of The Beastie Boys, who often performs with Everett's backup band, The Tender Moments, also posted about the track. In November 2016, Billboard reported that Horvitz teamed up with Los Angeles-based vegan shoe company Keep on the "Ramos," a new shoe whose proceeds will go to Planned Parenthood.
